Dwayne Moline

January 7, 1930 ~ May 6, 2018 (age 88)

Dwayne Moline, 88, went to be with our Lord on May 6th, 2018.  He was born on January 7, 1930, in Paxton, Illinois to Oscar and Elsie Moline. The family moved to a farm at Albert City, Iowa when Dwayne was five years old.  At the time of his father’s death, Dwayne (14) and his mother continued living on the farm.  Dwayne graduated from Albert City High School in 1948.  He served in the Army for two years.   On May 22nd, 1954,  Dwayne married LaVonne Carlson.  After farming for three years, they moved to Des Moines, Iowa.  Dwayne started employment with Anderson Erickson Dairy and continued for 10 years.

Dwayne and LaVonne were blessed with four children.  Dwayne worked in Sales for Unitog Company and the family lived in Ankeny, Iowa.  The family moved to Blue Springs, Missouri, where Dwayne worked out of the Kansas City Unitog Headquarters, in Sales and Management.

Dwayne worked for the company for 25 years and retired in 1993.  He and LaVonne moved to Bentonville and Bella Vista, Arkansas upon his retirement. They resided in Rogers, Arkansas for almost three years.

They were members of Rogers First Baptist Church.  Dwayne was also a Gideon since the 1980s in both Missouri and then Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Evelyn Fleming.

He is survived by his dear wife, LaVonne, of the home, and they had been married for almost 64 years.  The children are:  son, Dale Moline and wife, Julie of Blue Springs, Missouri; daughter, Dawn Miller and husband, Kim of Kansas City, Missouri;  son, Larry Moline and wife, Julia of Independence, Missouri; son, James Moline and wife, Barbara of Smithville, Ohio; fourteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.  He is also survived by one brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jerry and Elaine Carlson; nephews, Terry Fleming and Todd Carlson; nieces, Audrey O'Neil and Jody O'Doherty, and one cousin, Dorothy Miller, who was like a sister through his lifetime, and many close relatives and friends.

Grandchildren:  Adam Moline, Abram Moline, Alan Hill, Alissa Hill, Holly Moline-Durn, Rachel Moline-Oberlin, Daniel Moline, Allison Moline, Emily Moline, Elizabeth Moline, Felicia Moline, Michaela Moline, David Moline, and Meredith Moline-Holder

Great Grandchildren:  Margo Durn, Nigel Durn, Camilla Durn, Carissa Oberlin, Kevin Isaiah Oberlin, Jetson Moline, Carter Moline

Since both Dwayne’s parents were born in Sweden and came across to America, he was always proud of his Swedish heritage.  His mother was only 16 when she made the trip.

He was also very honored to serve in his country’s Armed Forces in the Army.

He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather to his family.
