Helen Arlene Burright Pifer, 93, passed away November 9, 2019 at Ashley Health and Rehab in Rogers, Arkansas. She was born April 4th, 1926 to Charles and Viola Marie Hardesty Burright in Flag Township, Illinois. She had six brothers, Orville, Butch, Blackie, Chuck, Billy, and Charles.
She married Jack Pifer on November 22, 1944. They had four children, Linda, Allen, Bill, and Lori.
She grew up in the Rochelle, Illinois area until 1975, when they moved to Rogers, Arkansas. She was a homemaker and took care of the books for Jack’s business.
She loved to spend time with her family. She enjoyed fishing, camping, crocheting and playing games especially cards, doing crossword puzzles, and reading her Bible. She had several nicknames; “Ma” by her children, Gram and Little Gram by her grandchildren, Henna by her nieces and nephews, and we can’t forget “Mrs. Hoyles” by her card playing friends.
She was proceeded in death by her parents; her brothers; her husband, Jack; daughter, Linda Pifer Sarver and one granddaughter, Jodi.
She is survived by three children; Al Pifer and wife, Brenda of Cave Springs, Bill Pifer and wife, Kathy of Avoca and Lori Humphreys and husband, David of Rogers; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
