Katy Mae Engle, 31, of Rogers, AR passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at her home. She was born December 30, 1986 in Hope, AR to Joe David Vestal and Nancy Doreen Funderburg.
Katy was an Elementary School Teacher for six years. She loved all of her children and staff that she worked with each day.
She was known for her unforgettable sense of humor, love of rock and roll music, and amazing relationships she cherished with family and friends.
Katy was a graduate of the University of Arkansas, and furthered her education at the same with a Masters Degree in Education. Katy was also a Nationally Board Certified Educator. Katy was an avid Razorback fan, regardless of how many football games they had lost.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Turner Clay Vestal, Dolores Eleanor Williams-Vestal, John Donald Dowdy and Donald Randolph Vestal.
Katy is survived by her loving husband, Joseph; the two most amazing children on earth, Olivia and Oliver; her mother, Doreen and Gene Funderburg; her father, Joe and Judy Vestal; and her 'Grand-mamaw', Nancy Dowdy. She is also survived by uncle and aunt, Mark and Jaime Dowdy, uncle, Phil Dowdy, aunt, Kathy Vestal; numerous adored cousins and family members.
Memorial service will be held at 10AM, Saturday, September 15, 2018 at First United Methodist Church, 307 West Elm St, Rogers, with Pastor Danny Cheney officiating. Attire will be casual and attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite band's t-shirt and casual sneakers.
