Opal Mae Shiew, age 82, of Centerton, AR went home to be with the Lord, Opal died peacefully with family by her side on December 19th, 2018. She was born in San Diego, CA on October 15th, 1936 to Barney Elva Andrews and Maggie Mae Andrews of Porum, Oklahoma. She married her husband of 54 years Willis Clyde Shiew on November 6th, 1964.
Opal attended Porum High School and went on to work at White Stag Manufacturing and attended Draughons Business College, eventually transitioning in to Banking where she spent the rest of her career. In addition to a Banking career she was very active in her church and volunteering in her communities with multiple organizations.
Opal was a loving wife and a wonderful mother who always put her family and loved ones first. Her love for the Lord and her church and family was apparent to all that met Opal. Loving and caring for her family and helping her children and grandchildren succeed was always her first priority.
Opal loved her family, children and grandchildren very much and enjoyed spending much of her life creating wonderful memories with all of her family. She would not have traded anything for her days playing with her children and grandchildren and having family gatherings. She showered her family and friends with so much love and kindness and will be missed very much.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Willis Clyde Shiew of Centerton, AR; Son, Willis Stacey Shiew of Rogers, AR; Son, Jason Andrew Shiew and wife Michelle of Bella Vista, AR; granddaughter, Taylor Erickson, granddaughter, Karstyn Shiew and grandson, Jonathan Shiew.
She is preceded in death by both parents Barney and Maggie, Brother Arnold, Brother Robert, and Daughter Regina (at birth). Funeral service's will be held at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services of Rogers, AR at10 a.m. on Saturday, December 22nd, 2018 with Pastor Gary Kimball officiating. The family welcomes a gathering of friends for visitation Saturday, December 22nd, 2018, from 9:00a.m. until service time.
